What Does A Lump Behind The Right Ear Indicate?

Hi, I m a 24 year old male and about 2 days ago I woke up with this big bump/lump behind my right ear on my head where the bottom bone is at. I cant sleep well cause its very painful. its not red, no pus or head to it, I had my mom look at it and that s what she had said. So what can it be?
