What Does A Lump Below Hairline Indicate?

I have a small knot right below my hairline on the left side. It started itching a little and if I push on it it hurts a little. It popped up out of nowhere. This has happened before. I currently have a sinus infection and most likely strep throat. Please help me!

Hello and welcome.

The lump could have either been an infected hair follicle or acne. I am happy it popped on its own and not assisted bt you. If you have a strep throat and a sinus infection, you must be on antibiotics. Those very same antibiotics will be effective in treating the lump that popped whether it was folliculitis or acne so do not worry.
