What Does A Lump Between The Vagina And Anus Indicate?

I have a single lump in-between my vagina and anus, it feels a lot bigger than it looks and is barely noticeable to the eye, it is a little itchy and sore to touch, its hard and it's come back about 3 times so far, the first time it was smaller but that was a few years ago. I have been getting some bad pains around my stomach on and off for a few months, I want to get it checked but I'm scared it will be something embarrassing.
