General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most possible reason here seems to be adenoid enlargement with or without possible inflammation of esophagus.

I strongly recommend you to take an indirect laryngoscopy examination with your ENT doctor; hot water gargles with added Epsom salt will help till that time for better recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
