What Does A Lump In Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing Indicate?

I had a lump in the throat sensation for almost a month.. I was having a lot of trouble swallowing food and it was making me anxious. Now, about 2 months have passed and I m still having problems... I have a yellow spot on my tonsil that won t go away. I ve also had extreme mucous in my throat (white/clear). My doctor gave me acid reflux medication but it doesn t help much. I ve also had ear pain and (I m not sure if this is related) I ve noticed that one of my submandibular salivary glands seems bigger and firm... I m nervous I have some kind of cancer in my throat area.

Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice. It may be due to tonsillitis.

You can do steam inhalation and Betadine gargle twice a day.

You may require antibiotics tablet Azithromycin after physician consultation.

Take hygienic food and water. Maintain proper hygiene.
