What Does A Lump On The Back Indicate?

I have a pea sized round ball on the back of my seems to be attached to maybe a tendon that runs down to the calf . It icky to touch , I have a metal knee and it never healed right so I am always in pain.. not sure if this is part of them when I touch it moves it is hard feeling.

Hello,

If the lump is close to the knee joint very likely this is a bursa filled with fluids from the knee. These are very common with knee problems and especially with osteoarthritis and many happen due to knee surgery as well.

You will need to have a visit with your doctor to confirm the diagnosis and get further treatment.
