What Does A Lump On The Breast Along With Backache Indicate?

I have breast cancer and still have the lump on my breast. For about the past, approximately two weeks, I have developed a back ache . I keep waiting for the onset of the flu, but no flu so far. Is my cancer in my spine now? I had a breast MRI about three weeks ago. Could that have triggered something?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The breast MRI should not have triggered a lump in the breast or pain in the back. MRI are different from CT scans and x rays in that they do not use radiation. If your spine was also recently assessed (within last 6 months) then it is unlikely that the pain is related to cancer spread.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
