What Does A Lump On The Calf Indicate?

I have always been pretty healthy, no real significant health problems. I am 59yrs. old, female. 5 9 , about 140 lbs. Tonight I discovered a lump in my left calf. There is a slight bruise on the skin, but I don t remember bumping my calf on anything.

Hi

Welcome to the health care magic

You are mentioning swelling as bruise.. So any history of trauma present needs to be ruled out first (to rule out hematoma)

I need following details for giving more comment
1.fevere present??
2.size of swelling
3. consistency of swelling
4.swelling seems superficial or attached to underlying muscle

If you post photo then further opinion can be given

If swelling not reducing in size in few days and no history of trauma then FNAC like investigation done to rule out nature of lesion

Take care

Hope your concern solved
