What Does A Lump On The Head After An Injury Indicate?

Hi, I slipped & hit the back of my head on a metal pole, no dizzyness or nausea. I iced it for about 30 minutes & have a really large lump... may have abraded the skin, it s hard to tell. Is there anything else I should worry about? It doesn t hurt all that bad. (if I don t touch it.)

You have not mentioned your age .
It is always better to scan your head for any blood collection and any trivial fracture of the skull bone to be on the safer side.
You may not have any sympoms initially but may have headache , memory issues later.
