Hello, I noticed the other day a lump on my inner thigh it about 8inches above my left knee cap and the size of a golf ball but not like a complete sphere If you get my meaning, dosent hurt, no color, is most visible if I squat down it then seems to buldge out..I checked my other thigh for comparison and there seems to be the same part/similar but without the raise lump..I would say its between my sartoiousr (8 inch up from the knee) and the Vastus medialis muscles if that make sense? Also left hamstring is rather tight also as I,ve been sat working whilst learning to reach for items so putting extra strain on the left hamstring I m a 45 year old male in above average health I d say Thanks
As per the description that you have given this looks to be a lump that is benign. Can be one of the following: Lipoma. Sebaceous cyst. hematoma. Muscle hernia and so on. This can be diagnosed well by the following ways: Consult a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and relevant investigations: Ultrasonography and FNAC will almost diagnose the cause of lump. Being not normal part of body it is best to get this removed and send for histopath examination for 2 reasons: First, you get rid of the abnormal part. Secondly, you get the confirmed diagnosis and be assured.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
