What Does A Lump On The Left Side Of The Abdomen Indicate?

I have been taking a pain reliver with codeine, yesterday I drank a bottle of magnesium citrate 10 oz. Worked fine for the constipation what felt like a lump in my left side of my stomach. Last night I suffered with pain on the left side, bowel movement is minimal. Could this be a perforated bowel or something worse.
