What Does A Lump On The Leg After An Injury Indicate?

About two months ago I got kicked in the leg by a person wearing a cleat. After a day and a half it arises as a bump and a bursie. It wasn’t that bad till I got kicked again at the same spot about 6 days afterwards. It began to swell and when I was wearing a sock it would swell all around the top of my sock. Even my ankle bruised and was sore. About three weeks later it was still there and it began to be numb where the bruise was and around it. My mom was worried about a blood clot. I went to the doctors and had a ultrasound on my whole leg but they said it didn’t show anything. It’s been two months there is no bruise but there is a numbness and still a medium size bump there. I don’t know if thats normal or not. I would like to know?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I suggest you to take regular exercise or physiotherapy with ice pack compression of the particular area that may help you to improve your numbness. I also advise you to take tablet Neurobion forte OD (once daily after food) for 10 days. If symptoms persist I suggest you to consult an orthopedic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini
