What Does A Lump On The Neck Indicate?

I was stung several times on my neck when I was a kid. Ever since then I've had a hard bump under the skin. Trying to massage it yesterday I noticed by pinching the muscle it's actually the size of a grape and a lot deeper than I thought. Should I go to the doctor about this?
