What Does A Lump On The Right Palm Above The Wrist Indicate?
im a 62 yo male. I use a PC and mouse a lot. Noticed a ball-shaped lump (bump) on base of my inner right palm just above wrist. its not painful and it resembles a LARGE hard callous but much larger & thicker. May have been there for months but its really protruding today. Its very noticeable.
Noted a history about a 62 year old male using lot of PC and noticed a lump on inner part of pals just above wrist like a large hard callous, not painful. The commonest causes I can think about are as follows: Tendinitis. Synovitis. Ganglion. Dermal cyst. This can be diagnosed by the following ways: Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation and examination. Clear fluid containing cysts will allow the light to pass through and the cyst then glows. The solids ones do not allow light to go through. Ultrasonography if required helps to give more clear diagnosis. Consult a General Surgeon for confirmation and get operated if indicated by him. Do not try anything at home.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
