What Does A Lump On The Scalp Indicate?

My husband has a cyst on the scalp and it is red. It is causing him pain. He wishes it would burst because he is feeling pressure. Our doctor looked at him two days ago and prescribed antibiotics. Will this burst and how can we safely deal with it when it does?

It could be some sebaceous cyst.
As a first line management we can go for antibiotic therapy and pain killers.
If symptoms persist, we have to excise the lesion understands r local anaesthesia. No need to worry as of now
