What Does A Lump On Tonsils Indicate?

I've been having a feeling like something is in my throat on the left side. I took a flashlight and pushed my tongue down with my finger and saw a skin colored lump on the 'tonsillar arch' about the size of a small bb. Is this something to worry about?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Although it is not something to worry about , but a lump there is not normal and definitely needs to be evaluated. For this i would like you to meet an ent doctor , who will examine you and guide you further. It can be either a mucus retention cyst or a swelling from a minor salivary gland.

Thanks
