What Does A Lump Sensation In Throat Indicate?

I have this lump sensation in my throat that wont go away. it feels like something is slightly pressing on my windpipe/ thyroid. this started on the 27th and hasnt gone away,it just suddenly appeared, I was getting ready for a 2 day convention. I have had my thyroid checked and it is fine, even an x ray of my throat, nothing is there, could this be a possible viral or bacterial infection,I dont have a sore throat or pain just a lump in my throat that isnt there. or could it be globus pharyngeus?

Hello,
There could be a false feeling of something stuck inside the throat.
There are more chances of it if you have reflux disease. ie reflux of food contents in the food pipe from the stomach. There are more chances of reflux if you snore.
YOu need to take treatment for reflux disease like anti reflux drugs like domperidom and pantoprazole etc.
You should get an ent consultation and get done a endoscopy to look for any local cause inside the throat.
In doubt do reply.
