What Does A Mass On The Breast Indicate?

I previously was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2006, went thru radiation and chemo and have been in remission. Saw my doctor Friday for an annual physical and he believes he has found a mass in my right breast. I have annual mammograms and have not missed any. I have tried to feel the mass and it feels to me like a thickening or fluid filled movable area. Am scheduled for mammo and ultra sound on Tues. Can endometrial cancer reappear in the breast?

1. As I'm unable to examine you directly, thus following is my opinion:

i. Although a lump/mass in the breast region is the most common symptom of breast cancer, not all are cancer since a number of benign breast condition like cysts can also feel as mass [presence of fluid-filled movable area], thus

i. It could be because of an infection, abscess, cyst, so in the best interest, it is wise to consult a gynecologist for a Mammogram [to examine the breast for diagnosis and screening.

PS. As a rule of thumb: after the age of 35 years self-breast examination every month and if one notice any lump, discharge or skin change, it should be reported immediately.

2. Carcinoma of the breast if detected early is completely curable, particularly in postmenopausal women, a breast lump is to be considered malignant [unless proved otherwise] and if it comes normally only thereafter lifestyle changes, alternative medicines, and medications [HRT], can be discussed.

PS. endometrial carcinoma rarely metastasizes to the breasts [atypical], but when occur, result in pain/edema of the affected breast and is difficult to treat
