What Does A Minor Positive Echo Test In A Diabetic Patient Mean?

hello sir.. i want to knw tht my father is been suffering frm diabetics since 22 years.. hez around 51yrs n his weight is 73kg.. hez b.p after taking mediceane is 120\90.. recently he had a check up of his heart n his echo n tmt is minor positive n intactness has been found...wht would u suggest him sir..

I guess you mean to say TMT is mildly positive. In a long term diabetic minor changes do occur. I am sure your physician would have put your dad on aspirin. Please make sure that his blood sugars are maintained well. also concentrate closely on blood cholesterol values. Yearly once get a TMT done along with ECHO. The best way of treatment is Prevention!
