What Does A Moving Lump In The Abdominal Area Suggest?

Hello Am a girl aged 24. When I press hard on my tummy I fell something hard which when presses on it moves from either the upper or lower part of my tummy and when I breath in for a long time the swelling is also seen and when I press it also moves either up or down of my belly botton. It does not pain although I experience some pains in my belly button at times. I have never missed my periods. Is it normal to experience this? If not, what might it be, what is its cause and what are its effects?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here according to history exact site of mass is not mentioned

First of all for your work up USG abdomen investigation should be done for preliminary work up...

As mass movable it could be Benign tumour lesion like Lipoma...
There might be possibility of ovarian lesion or other mesenchymal lesion

If needed after examination than USG guided FNAC taken for further work up

According to cause further specific treatment given

Trauma history also should be checked....

Take care

Consult general surgeon for examination and further work up accordingly

According to specific cause found, treated accordingly

Hope your concern solved
