What Does A Nodule In Left Thyroid Suggest?
scan accidently showed a nodule in my left thyroid, hospital sent scan to a surgeon, the surgeon wrote don,t worry, i had no biopsy nor saw him , i have a very swollen neck on the left side of my centre neck, should I worry with out surgeon seeing me, only by the scan sent to him.or should i seek a second opinion i am a fit seventy one year old woman

Nodule in thyroid may be due to both benign or malignant reasons.
You may need clinical correlation and further investigations.
Most important is FNAC of lesion.
FNAC is very important in assessing benign or malignant nature of lesions.
You may also need thyroid profile.
CT scan of neck can be done after evaluation.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.
