Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had a scan of my heart to see if there was any plaque in my arteries. My score was 0, which I am told is good. However, they found a small nodule on my left heart lobe. I haven t spoken to my cardiologist yet but I was wondering exactly how this nodule developed and if it is something that I need to worry about. Also, what kind of treatment would this involve?
I would advise you to do a CT angiography and 2D echocardiography test to find out about the nodule in your heart. If any major nodule is there then you may need cardiac surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
