What Does A Pain And Redness On The Lower Leg Indicate?

Hi, I am 53 yo male; a red area showed up on my leg tonight. It looks like I got hit with a tennis ball, but I wasn t It is slightly above my ankle below my calf. It is not raised, can t find bite or tick. Slightly sensensitive to touch, but not too bad. When I stand feels like very mild muscle cramp. Red area is warm to touch. Should I be concerned or can I watch it overnight.
