What Does A Painful Bump Above The Clitoris Indicate?

Hi, I am experiencing a sore bump in my hairline above the clitoris in the crease. I ve had them before around the time.of my monthly cycle and it s painful and slightly itchy. I am married and faithful as so is my husband so STD s aren t a worry. Can t figure out where these dreadful things come from and why. They rarely happen but when they do I get frustrated. General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to foliculitis (hair bed infection). If you provide a picture then it will be more helpful. Hot fomentations (warm compress) will be helpful. if swelling is not decreasing and pain is increasing then you may need antibiotic therapy, and incision and draining if any puss is present. For this you can consult your general practitioner.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks
