What Does A Painful Bump On The Right Heel Indicate?

Right Foot, outter heal. I woke up with pain when I stepped down to walk. I feel a bump . I looked and it is NOT cauliflower looking like a plantar wart but it seems like IF I were to squeeze it/pop it, it would just drain liquid like a blister. HOWEVER, the skin over the area is very thick.
