What Does A Painful Bump On The Wrist Indicate?

Hi, I have a bump on the side of my wrist. It doesn t hurt when I press on it but it hurts when I slice a tomato and do other things. I also have a ganglion on the other side of the wrist but a little closer to my hand. It doesn t bother me and I ve had it for many years now. Any thoughts on what this could be? Sorry to bother you, but for $10 I can go see a doctor and he/she can look at my wrist and make a diagnosis. Thanks anyway.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The most probable diagnosis can be a ganglion. It would be better if you send a picture along with your query. Watch for any rapid increase in size. Wishing you good health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
