What Does A Painful Lump Between The Eyes Indicate?

I have had a hard mass between my eye and the bridge of my nose for some time now. This hard mass is now swollen and very and very painful to the touch. I have been applying warm compresses as wellas warm teabags. These two methods have now produced two white spots (comparable to acne but very hard), what has happened to my flat hard mass?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Very likely the mass is a dermoid cyst that is filled with fatty material. On the other hand, any mass that is not going away for 1-2 months should be checked with the doctor to rule out more important causes such as skin tumors.
The doctor will examine the bump and if it is a dermoid cyst, he may excise it (remove it) in the office.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
