Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently went to the dr last night when I noticed a painful small red lump on my arm. I have had MRSA before and when I went to the emergency room they ran a sonagram over the small lump on my arm. They said that I caught it early in time and it shouldn t have to be cut open. I started my antibiotics last night and my arm is still sore but the redness had not spread or got any bigger. I have been cleaning it and taking meds as prescribed. Should I still seek medical attention?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate this, if the lesion (Swelling ) resolved and infection part is also eradicated then this is nothing to worry but of course you need to be in follow up for final advise, because clinical examination is must to know whether this is being cured or not, take care.
