What Does A Painful Lump On The Pelvic Bone Indicate?

I had a fistula in the past but it has been healed for 2 yrs now. Now i have a swelling that feels like a tendon or muscle i am also a little sore in my lymph nodes on my pelvic bone! It is not a sore as the abscess that led to my fistula. It started after a very hard work out on the treadmill. Could it be just a strained muscle or tendon?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

No, I don't think it is strained muscle or tendon because there are no tendons or muscles in that area.

That area is full of fat. And hence more likely to get infected. So possibility of anal abscess or recurrent Fistula is more likely.

So better to consult doctor and get done clinical examination and proctoscopic examination of anal canal. Also get done fistulogram.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
