What Does A Painful Purple Blister On The Finger Indicate?

My daughter has a blister on her finger, it’s a little purplish, it hurts her if you touch it but isn’t hot to the touch. It got bigger overnight. On Tuesday it was a tiny bump, yesterday it looked a bit like a blister and today it’s a bit bigger and a little purple
