General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Inflammation in the cells on the Pap smear, means that some white blood cells were seen on your Pap smear. Inflammation of the cervix is common and usually does not mean there is a problem. It is commonly reaction to a benign problem such as a fungal infection.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
