What Does A Pear Shaped Knot On The Inner Thigh Indicate?

I have a pear shaped knot on my inner thigh where the vertical lymph node group would be, and it s very hard and sore. I also have a sore on same side foot. Also I currently have an URI. All happened within 3 days of each other with my foot being the first. Is the knot truly the lymph node group and how long should it remain inflamed?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it is a lymph node and it is as a red of infection possibly a skin infection, std or urinary tract infection you currently are having.

Take antibiotics treatment you are currently having and it may help cure it. After treatment, it should be gone. You can do a blood sample after finishing the antibiotic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
