What Does A Pink Raised Rash On Skin After Stopping Birth Control Pill Indicate?
I was on the pill since 17 (now 38) other than the two times trying to get pregnant and also during pregnancy. I decided to go off the pill and I have this very weird rash. It is patches and is raised off the skin here and there all over my body but legs. Is this normal?? It was not itchy at first but is now as I am hoping it is going away. It is really pink/red in color.
Thanks for wrinting us at HealthCare Magic. As your physician I welcome you at my Virtual Clinic. So, I have carefully gone through your case, and its side efdect of the pills. Its normal in that it happens with pills. Dont worry. Relax and calm. What u need to do is take anti-inflammatory and non sedating anti-allergic pills one each of them daily for 5,7 days. Use barrier contraception (condoms) if u don't need to be pregnant. Rashes will go away at their own. If you feel fever or any signs of secondary infection go to your physician who may prescribe you antibiotics.
Please take very good care of you and get well soon. Have a blessed day ahead. Don't forget to give a feed back if I was helpful to you today.
