General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Lump in foot are usually due to swelling of the soft tissue. The lump can form due to fluid in the muscle tissue or the sac, enlargement of the vessels and nerves. It is commonly asymptomatic. The purple discoloration indicates cyanosis, poor oxygen supply in the tissue affected. Visit ER and get examined. You may need oral antibiotics (Amoxycillin) and Acetaminophen. In the meantime you can apply ointment Thrombophob (Benzyl nicotinate and heparin) locally for relieve. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
