What Does A Raised Area Behind The Tonsil Indicate?
I have a raised area behind my left tonsil on the skin.... it is not discolored.... seems to get larger when I take steroids for sinuses- at times it hides behind my tonsils- Sometimes there s puss in it- i just used a qtip to get puss out- so it s sore at the moment- Should i be concerned?? I ve been to 2 dr appts in last few weeks for bad cough- I asked about it last time and she said she couldn t see it/ it was behind tonsil at that point

raised area behind tonsil might b peritonsillar abscess or retropharyngeal abscess bt for abscess u must hv feber so detailed history required thanks for ur query
