Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Around may this year on my bikini line I had a bump grow kinda like a pimple but no whitehead just a red bump and then it went away it left an indent and now its coming back, its rught where the side of my underwear are so it hurts to walk. Im clean and I was down there very good, and the right way. I dont know how to get rid of it or what it is.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red bump in the groin area which seems to be due to fungal infection and it could be due to heat produced by rubbing of clothes leading to heat rash.
Need not to worry. Apply ice pack to reduce redness and itchiness. Apply mupirocin ointment on affected area twice daily. Maintain good personal hygiene. Use a powder to avoid sweat collection and apply calamine lotion at the sites of the lesion. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin , oral antifungal or antibacterial depending upon the diagnosis .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
