What Does A Red Bump On The Upper Lip Indicate?

I have a small read bump on my upper lip close to the peak where both lips meet its small but notice able its red small and has a black dot in the middle i dont know what it is im worried i havent had any sexual contact yet so i have no idea what it is.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As you describe in query that you have symptoms of red bump on the upper lip which could be due to dehydration, inflamed sebaceous gland, stress sun blister ands bacterial infection. Need not to worry. Usually they resolve with time by its own in few days. If it keeps on persisting along with other symptoms such as fever, itching them you should consult oral physician/dermatologist for proper evaluation and start treatment accordingly. You should take supplement containing folic acid and vitamin B12. Keep the area clean and avoid popping and itching it. Drink plenty of fluids and apply petroleum jelly.
