What Does A Red Line In Buttock Crease Indicate?

What does it mean when you have a red line in your butt crack? It s always been like that since I remembered but my boyfriend doesn t think it s normal since he doesn t have redness in his and hasn t seen it before. Is this normal or should I get it checked out by my doctor?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history of the red line on buttock crease, my treatment advice is –

1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
