What Does A Red Rash On The Arm Indicate?

I woke up, got dressed, came into work and then noticed that there was a red area on my arm. I rolled up my sleeve and it is a large raised red area that is really hot to the touch and there is the same type of area on the other arm, just smaller in the exact same spot. Any ideas? It doesn t itch or burn.
