Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I recently noticed a small red dot on my arm, around my shoulder area. It is slightly raised and feels like a bug bite but it looks as if someone injected me with a needle. I m not sure how long it s been there but there aren t any other places with a mark like this one so I am very confused.
I have read your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
The small red dot on your arm, around your shoulder area, slightly raised seems to be a bug (or any other insect) bite. A photo of the affected area could help in determining the right diagnosis.
I want to know if the area is : itchy? painful? or no symptom at all?
If itchy, I advise to keep the area well clean and apply anti-histaminic cream locally. You can also take anti-histaminic med orally.
If you'll develop fever, pain or any other unusual symptom, should consult with your physician as further diagnostic tests should be done and prescription meds might be needed.
Wish fast recovery.
