Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is a farmer, yesterday driving the tractor he noticed a small red spot under his watch area on the inside of his arm. Tonight he has a 3-4 long X 2 wide purpulish red inflamed area on the soft tissue inside his arm/wrist. Is this something to be concerned about? It is not warm nor does it hurt at this time. Thank you Paula
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red spot on the arm which can occur due to conditions like contact dermatitis, allergic reaction due to detergent, soap, metals allergy, an animal bite, or an insect sting and lyme disease. It could be sudden response of body to allergen. You should avoid touching or pricking these red spots and apply aloe vera gel on them. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine , corticosteroid ointment and may give adrenaline short . For now take benadryl twice a day , apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product. Cover your skin to protect your skin from UV radiations.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
