What Does A Rounded Lump On Left Side Of Head Suggest?
Hi Doctor, I just noticed a rounded lump on the top left side of my head.. I have been really sick for the last week with the flu and every day i have had a head and now i have started to get pain in the top section of my left ear. Should i be worried or is it all just part of the flu? Thanks
Welcome at HCM I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns. For how long swelling is there? Is it tender to touch? Any scalp skin changes? Any ear pain? Do u have fever? In my opinion. It is most probably a sebaceous cyst but you should meet Surgeon so that it can be examined. You may need to get an x ray of skull too to rule out any intracranial extension. As far as pain is concerned, if that is infected cyst then it may give you pain but it also be due to ear infection too. You need to be assessed by your doctor for proper management. Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain Get well soon Regards Dr saad Sultan
