What Does A Scar Tissue On The Right Lung Indicate?

Just had a CT scan on my neck to my stomach area. . Results told me I have a small scar tissue on my right lung and that there is a nodularlittle over a centimetre on my thyroid Was told that 6 months down the road they want to scan my lungs again Waiting now for a scan on my thyroid to see if it is benign or not . Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank Yoi

Hi,

Scar in lung with thyroid mass may be possible with primary in thyroid with secondary in lung. It may be individual lesions. Until examination is done by HRCT, radio iodine uptake or fine needle aspiration it difficult to say what it is. Please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
