What Does A Small Bump On The Right Foot Indicate?

this morning I noticed a small bump on the inside of my right foot, just above the arch. No pain, soft to the touch. On arriving home this evening, the bumps were also evident on the inside of the same foot, spread out back towards the heel. My left foot is bump free. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It looks like Benign Planter fibroma. It can be harmless, but you need to get physically examined & have biopsy & Imaging tests (X-Ray, MRI, Bone scan) done to rule out cysts, granuloma or any type of malignancy.

Neglect may result in the Nodule(bump) becoming larger, sore, difficulty in standing bare-footed or painful.

It may occur due to the interaction of the medications you have been taking or cause of diabetes. Control your blood sugar levels.

Your treatment(Medications-corticosteroid injections, physical therapy or surgery) will depend upon the pathology detected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
