What Does A Small Lump In Sternum Area While Being Due For Gallbladder Removal Suggest?

Hello, I have to have gall bladder removed, one of symptoms was nausea and vomiting while waiting on surgery date, vomiting and dry heaves, I noticed some minor pain in sternum area while vomiting and now have a small lump, I have lost wait due to gall bladder symptoms. any idea why I may have gotten a lump, it was not there prior to vomiting last week. Thank you.

Thanks for using HCM, I understand your concern and will try to give you my medical advice, the vomiting act supposed a big effort for the muscles in the upper side where the sternum is locate some people during the vomiting can get a muscle contractions even though can have minors internal bleeding in the pharyngeal area, I think that you probably have a muscular contraction and hopefully could disappear in a few days using some topical anti-inflammatory ( cremes) improving your symptoms . I hope that my advice has been helpful
