What Does A Sore Rash Around The Groin Area Indicate?

Red sore rash on inside of groin/leg area near genitals. Pus or some sort of discharge is present along with an odor. I am not sexually active so I would like to think this is not an STI, but could be wrong I guess. I originally thought this was just some chaffing because I have recently put on some weight and the sore is located on stretch marks. any ideas?

Unless you show the lesion, it's hard to pinpoint to DX. Most commonly seen skin lesion is tinea cruris, a fungal infection and it's contagious. Consult a dermatologist and get anti-fungal medication.
