Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 51 year old female and for the past few weeks I have been experiencing a spot on the back of my left thigh that suddenly feels like it is getting hot. Like someone has poured hot water on it. It is not red there is no rash and after a few minutes it goes away.
It might be arteritis. Apply cold compresses when you feel hot. Look for any redness especially mimicking arteries, that is a sign of possible arteritis.
Neuropathy to rule out through physical examination. The early stage of herpes should consider too. Look for any sign of herpes outbreak. Take Paracetamol or Mefenamic acid orally.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
