Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of an arm injury or pressure on a nerve in the arm. It can also be a pinched nerve, strain or stress that is causing you symptoms. Gentle massage with a pain relieving ointment and pain relieving sprays (Volini) can help bring relieve. Applying ice pack may help. Other causes include damage to nerves in the arm from exposure to extreme heat or cold or to toxic compounds.

Arm burning sensation can also be a feature of certain diseases or conditions, including multiple sclerosis and lupus. Damage to the peripheral nerves (peripheral neuropathy) can also cause arm burning sensation. Get clinically examined by a GP/Neurologist to rule out developing MI, stroke, CAD. Peripheral neuropathy may be due to specific diseases or conditions, such as diabetes or alcoholism. Avoid taking alcohol. Control your blood sugar level at all cost.

In rare cases, when arm burning sensation is accompanied by numbness or weakness on one side of the body, it can be a sign of stroke. Get stress tests, Echo, EKG, Lipid function tests, Blood sugar (F/PP) done. You will be treated accordingly. Sometimes, vitamin B6, B12, folic, acid, zinc deficiency may cause such symptoms. You should take vitamin B6, B12, zinc rich diet or supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
