Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have a wart in my ear close to the opening of my Canel. Getting bigger hearing lose, some foul smell. I do have allergies and ear drainage from it..Could it be some form of skin cancer or do I need it to be tested. Can t seem to find much on it.. Thanks for any info on it..
First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it seems sir be a local or external ear infection or cellulitis or folliculitis and needs dermatologist review. You may also need to take oral antibiotics like ciprofloxacin and local antibiotics as well as oral anti-inflammatory drugs like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen.
Warts don't present like this and suspecting skin cancer based on these is very premature at this time and it usually doesn't present like these symptoms. Rarely Basal cell carcinoma of the face may present with a lesion but is not involved with such discharge and local symptoms at the start unless invasive which it is in later stages and not at the start.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
