What Does A White Bump On The Lacrimal Caruncle Indicate?

About a year or so. I found a white bump on my lacrimal caruncle. It appeared after I ve wore my contacts a couple of days without taking them out. Since then whenever I wore contacts I always took them out. I thought if I leave the white bump alone it would go away. It s been a long time and the white bump is still there and I haven t been able to see an eye doctor because they only come to the clinic Tuesdays and Thursdays but I m usually busy with school. I m just wondering what this white bump is. Is it a pimple? Or?

Hello,

Lacrymal caruncle area contains many glands and cyst may arise from lacrymal duct opening site or sebaceous gland or hair follicle etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. please share one picture of it. Please consult your nearby ophthalmologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
